Membrane separation nitrogen production equipment

“The most convenient oilfield nitrogen supporting”

The membrane separation nitrogen generation technique separates air by the feature that different gas has different speed of penetrating the membrane. Oxygen, carbon dioxide and water vapor can rapidly penetrate the membrane, but nitrogen would be purified as it is not easily penetrate the membrane.
With a small size, light weight, wide applicability and high separation efficiency, and easy to maintain, the features of nitrogen membrane technology has been widely used in many industries.
The complete set of membrane separation nitrogen generation equipment consists of air compressor, air processing system, membrane separation nitrogen generation system, nitrogen supercharger system, and central control system, skid-mounted cabinet and auxiliary devices.

HOW IT WORKS

Atmosphere is made up of a variety of gases, with the most abundant gas being Nitrogen followed by Oxygen. Nitrogen makes up 78% of the atmosphere, however cannot be used as is without separation. Membrane Separation Process uses the principle of different rates of diffusion of gases through the membrane fibers. Gases diffusing at a faster rate, like water vapor and oxygen are exhausted through the vent port. Slower gases like Nitrogen continue through the membrane bores and are delivered as the product gas at the product end of the membrane.
KERUI’s membrane technology is hollow polymeric fibers comprised of a core which is used for mechanical strength and a sheath optimized for the separation of gas. Modules in membrane technology based generators may contain more than 1 million individual hollow fibers designed in cross flow and counter flow designs. This design allows flexibility in meeting all pressure drop and performance constraints. Bundles are designed with high-performance fibers to enable operations at elevated/raised temperatures and extreme pressures. This allows for higher membrane productivity and fewer membranes.
Calculation of optimum Nitrogen production from membranes is complex. It depends on several factors that include pressure drop across the membrane feed air temperature and the volumetric flow of feed air, and desired purity at the outlet. GLOGS-KERUI do the study for our customers and deliver an optimized and efficient system for on-site Nitrogen production.

FAQ

Membrane systems offer purity ranging from 95% to 99.5%. This is dependent on feed air temperature, pressure drop across the system, feed air volume and the kind of the required application.

Nitrogen Purging & Testing.

Nitrogen purging is in industry standard technique for the replacement of hazardous or undesirable atmosphere with an inert dry atmosphere. The two most common methods of purging are displacement and dilution. The geometry of the process system determines which method is used.
For simple system, displacement purging is usually more effective in terms of time and cost but, for more complex system, dilution purging is used.
Nitrogen can also be used for leak test as a part of facility pre-commissioning services or after facility maintenance where flanges were disturbed, to confirm facility leak tightness. This is done by pressurizing the system with nitrogen gas and identifying leaks by applying soapy solution on tapped flanges after puncturing it. The pressurized nitrogen gas escaping from the punctured tape will indicate if there is leak on the flange.

Some of other Nitrogen applications:
  • Commonly used in chemical factories, oil refineries, natural gas processing plants and offshore platforms and so on as the instrument air, shielding gas and sealing gas.
  •  Low density nitrogen foam technology can be used in the gravel packing, eliminate the sands and mud from the near bore zone, and improving the effect of gravel packing.
  •  Nitrogen foam fluid is good gravel carrier.
  •  Pipeline cleaning, negative pressure perforating, nitrogen gas replacement.

Liquid Nitrogen Booster Pumps

GLOGS-KERUI Booster pumps (5.4 × 2.5 × 2.5 m) are specifically designed to pump liquid nitrogen to boost inlet pressure to supply the cold ends, prevent cavitation, and extend the life of the nitrogen pumping unit.
Our booster pumps encompass the reliability of field-proven components together with unique concepts such as the double-lip seal and replaceable sleeve. These features ensure the operator has a reliable and user-friendly pump that is easy to maintain in the field without the need for special tools, minimizing downtime and reducing repair costs.

Industrial Cleaning Services

Gulf Line Oil and Gas Services suite of cleaning provides pre-operational and post operational cleaning services.
Pre-operational cleaning is done after the construction of a new piping system and prior to the commissioning and start-up of the system. We provide a wide range of solutions depend on the type of contaminants present and the cleanliness level required.
Chemical cleaning (Pickling), De Cruding, high pressure water rotary jetting, oil flushing, air blowing, and steam blowing.

Tank Cleaning

We work actively to optimize our cleaning operations so that personnel entry into tanks is reduced to a minimum. We have extensive experience in vacuum cleaning, where waste is collected directly to mud tanks in a closed system. In systems with heavy pollution (scale, hydrocarbons, etc.), we use steam with chemical injection to reduce the amount of liquid added to the system.

Oil-Flushing

To ensure the hydraulic equipment starts up and operates as implemented, flushing of hydraulic and lubrication oil systems is employed to reduce the potential of premature failure. By implementing an effective system cleaning during commissioning maintenance and downtime on equipment can be minimized during repair services At GLOGS, we have the expertise, equipment, and experience to deliver debris-free systems. Flushing is a process created to clear the contaminants present inside the pipe and oil after its installation. By creating a turbulent flow in the system, the pipes are cleaned until the desired cleanliness value is obtained by passing them through filters. In terms of NAS, ISO and SAE values, cleanliness of the pipes are measured. Until the cleanliness of the valve is obtained, continuous recirculation of the working fluid in the system and purification is done by oil flushing.

Chemical Cleaning

GLOGS performs chemical cleaning of pipes, tanks, heat exchangers and other systems. We work actively with unique chemical suppliers and customers with our exclusive & very effective products (TermoRens) used currently worldwide in buildings, industry, ships and oil platforms.
TermoRens remove deposits in a more cost effective, faster and safer way. GLOGS is at the forefront of meeting increasingly stringent environmental requirements and pursues an active substitution policy.

Hydro jetting

GLOGS offers most techniques for cleaning with water under high pressure. We have a high level of expertise in choosing the right nozzles, and adapt the nozzles to the system to be cleaned and the type and degree of contamination. For larger pipe systems, rotating hoses (rot fans) are used for optimal cleaning.
We also offer ultra-high pressure cleaning .This pressurized water is used as a chisel to remove thick concrete from surfaces.
We also perform surface washing and down washing of installations using hot water washers.
